Associate Director – Mechanical
Job Description
To lead mechanical engineering delivery for major construction and data centre projects in Singapore. This senior role is responsible for overseeing mechanical design coordination, site execution, and technical quality across multiple concurrent projects, while providing leadership to project engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical engineering strategy, planning, and execution across assigned projects
- Oversee technical review and coordination of mechanical systems design, including HVAC, chilled water, and ventilation systems
- Manage mechanical project teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure delivery quality and schedule adherence
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and authorities on technical matters and approvals
- Ensure compliance with BCA, NEA, and other relevant Singapore regulatory requirements
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers
- Support tendering, budgeting, and resource planning for mechanical scopes
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
- Minimum 12–15 years of relevant experience, with substantial exposure to large-scale or data centre projects
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC and mechanical building systems
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration with Singapore PEB advantageous
- Proven leadership managing multi-disciplinary teams
