Solution Architecture Manager
Job Description
Our client is a leading data centre organisation hiring a Manager, Solution Architecture. First, this is a customer-facing technical role focused on developing infrastructure solutions. In addition, you will support proof-of-concept (POC) activities and work with customers and technology partners on next-generation data centre and AI infrastructure.
Because the role spans two areas, candidates may come from either a data centre solutions or an IT infrastructure solutions architecture background.
Responsibilities
- First, engage customers to understand technical requirements and recommend suitable infrastructure solutions
- Conduct technical presentations, customer workshops and demonstrations, so that customers can see how solutions work in practice
- Support POCs and infrastructure testing involving AI workloads, GPU computing and high-density deployments
- Together with sales, engineering and operations teams, develop customer solutions
- Work with technology partners and hardware vendors to shape the right solution for each customer
- Evaluate infrastructure requirements across compute, storage, networking, power and cooling
- Finally, stay up to date with emerging AI infrastructure, liquid cooling and data centre technologies
Qualification and skills
- Relevant experience in solutions architecture, solutions engineering or technical presales
- Strong customer-facing communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Data centre solutions: for example, colocation, power, cooling, connectivity, high-density infrastructure or solution design
- IT infrastructure solutions: for instance, servers, compute, storage, networking, virtualisation or enterprise infrastructure architecture
- Experience conducting technical workshops, solution demonstrations or POCs
- Ability to translate customer requirements into practical technical solutions
- Exposure to GPU computing, AI infrastructure or liquid cooling is an advantage, although it is not mandatory
